Falling in Love….with books!
/in UncategorizedLove is in the air at Le Cheile Secondary School. In anticipation of St. Valentine’s day all our students have been sent on a blind date ….with a BOOK! As part of our literacy programme all students recommended a book to their friend and students have 10 days to read their book before – guess what – they have to offer it up at a speed dating for books event! On the last day of term all students will have one minute to sum up why everyone should read their book. Let the lovin’ begin!

Shoeboxes for Christmas

Team Hope Shoebox appeal
/in UncategorizedThe Le Chéile Secondary School students are filling shoeboxes to send all the world’s poorest children this Christmas. It is a lovely opportunity for young people to consider how fortunate they are and to give to those who have very, very little. All children, no matter where they are growing up, deserve a little joy and we can give them this in a shoebox. Watch Nina prepare her shoebox:Nina’s Shoebox
